One of the remaining problems with electric vehicles is that they need hours to recharge their batteries. Usually, the faster a battery is charged, the faster it degrades, and that means shorter battery life. That is why most of the manufacturers put a limit to how fast a battery can be charged in order to protect it.
GBatteries is an American automotive startup which has as its mission to solve the problem of slow charging and having to wait hours halfway through your trip for your electric vehicle to recharge. The company’s real goal is to do that without compromising the cycle life of electric batteries. The plan for executing the task is mainly tied to using intelligent software combined with novel hardware.
The algorithm developed by GBatteries is called ChargeSense and it is very intelligent, as well as adaptive. It adapts differently to each battery by generating charge profiles, based on battery response signatures, in real-time.
The really unique part of the hardware is its architecture, which uses off-the-shelf components to build electric charges which can generate precisely programmed pulses at high frequency.
